Hey, I'm not too sure about other Gemmel-like authors. Have you read Shogun? Not along the same lines but it came to mind in terms of being an awesome-like history lesson in addition to a wonderful story. Haven't been back on dA in a couple of months, caught your message by chance. I'll ask my fiance when I get home, he's the one that initially introduced me to Gemmel to begin with! thanks for the add on this page too... my stupid modem was acting up and i haven't been able to get online for long for a few days now... its been slower than dialup and driving me insane. so i didn't get to thank you sooner. i will email, now that i can actually load the damn thing again, and update you soon i promise. i'm a gamer nerd myself these days, doing Vampire the Masquerade, so i'm not home much on weekends lately :-p but i promise i will sit down and message you soon!
